Global Action Plan
When trying to reduce your emissions by 10% it can be hard to know where to start… That’s where EcoTeams comes in. We provide the practical information you need to take positive steps that will not only reduce your carbon emissions, but your bills at home too. Working together with family, friends, work mates – even strangers – through a series of action-focused meetings or online groups, we provide you with the tools you need to make a difference. EcoTeams has been independently certified, and endorsed by the United Nations Environment Programme. On average, people taking part reduce their:
- CO2 emissions by nearly 17%
- household bills by £170 a year
- the rubbish they throw away by 20%
- the water they use by 15%.
EcoTeams is a Global Action Plan initiative. We are a practical environmental charity with 15 years experience in environmental behaviour change. We work with people, businesses, schools and the wider community to help reduce their impact on the environment. Our tried-and-tested programmes deliver tangible environmental and social improvements, as well as financial benefits to everyone who takes part. The Grand Designs Great British Refurb Campaign
The Grand Designs Great British Refurb Campaign is working to transform Britain's existing housing stock into comfortable, energy efficient homes that make a real contribution to reducing the UK carbon emissions. It's about making green refurbishment easy, affordable and attractive. The campaign is a partnership between the Energy Saving Trust, Grand Designs Magazine, UK Green Building Council and WWF-UK.
